Gautrain Rewards Promotion

Terms and Conditions

a) General:

i) All persons (“Participants”) entering the Gautrain Rewards Program (“Promotion”) agree that the Promotion rules, as set out in these Terms and Conditions (“ Terms and Conditions”), shall apply and are binding on them.

ii) Just Rewards Loyalty (Pty) Ltd, registration number: 2021/473751/07, Saldomax House, 25 Autumn Street, Edenburg, Rivonia (“JRL ”) and Bombela Concession Company (Pty) Ltd (“Bombela”) are collectively referred to as the “ Promoters” in respect of the Promotion for purposes of these Terms and Conditions.

iii) The Promotion is administered by JRL. However, all correspondence regarding this Promotion should be directed to the Gautrain Customer Care Centre on 0800-GAUTRAIN or 0800 428 87246 (Toll-free). The Customer Care team is available Monday to Sunday between 05:30 and 20:00.

iv) The Promotion commences on 1st June 2022 and ends at 11.59PM on 31st October 2022, both days inclusive. Redemption ends on 7th November 2022, 11.59PM.

v) Please note that the voucher SMS will only be sent from Mondays – Fridays (excluding public holidays) between 06h00 to 18h00 to the mobile number that has been registered on the Gautrain website.

vi) These Terms and Conditions cover the rewards sourced from different partners.

vii) By accessing these rewards, you consent to us sharing your personal information with partners and suppliers for purposes of this Promotion.

viii) Rewards are available at participating venues only.

ix) In the event that a partner opts out of the Promotion, closes down, or the partner is not able to honour the transaction due to circumstances outside their control, a partner of a similar stature with similar geographic coverage will be on-boarded to replace the initial partner.

x) All partner services are subject to availability at the participating venue at the time of the request.

xi) Vouchers may only be redeemed in full, and not in part of the voucher and no change in the form of cash will be issued.

xii) Whilst the Promoters will take reasonable steps to ensure that the facilitation of the Promotion is carried out efficiently, the Promoters do not take any responsibility for the quality of the products and/or services offered by the selected partners.

b) Qualifying criteria:

i. This Promotion is only open to Gautrain customers who have registered a Gautrain account on the Gautrain website/app (“ Qualifying Customers”).

ii. Entries are limited to 1 (one) person for the duration of the Promotion.

iii. This Promotion is only open to consumer purchases and not business to business purchases.

c) About the Rewards

i. Qualifying Customers will receive a chance to enter the ‘Spin & Win’ program and get a guaranteed reward.

ii. Breakdown of Rewards is as follows:

d) How to redeem your Gautrain reward:

Step 1 – Register an online account and link your Gautrain Swift Card

The customer must register a Gautrain account and link their Gautrain Swift Card on the website https://www.gautrain.co.za/register , or by following a link shared on Gautrain’s social media pages.

Step 2 – Visit the Spin & Win Promotion Page

The customer must visit the Spin & Win Promotion Page on the Gautrain website www.gautrainrewards.co.za and will be requested to enter their personal details and answer one marketing-related question.

Step 3 – Verification process

Upon registering , and after a verification process, the qualifying customer will receive an SMS containing a unique code within 48 hours, directing them to the Spin & Win page to redeem their guaranteed reward.

Step 4 – Spin & Win

The customer will be required to enter their contact details and the unique code to be directed to the Spin & Win platform.

Step 5 – Voucher Redemption

Upon completing the Spin & Win, the customer will receive an SMS within 24 hours with their reward voucher/code and redemption instructions.

v. The Promoters shall have the sole discretion to disqualify or reject any submission deemed to be illegible, incomplete, or invalid.

vi. The Promoters reserve the rights to provide an alternative reward that is of equal or improved value to the reward on offer.

viii. Entries are limited to 1 (one) person for the duration of the Promotion.

ix. Vouchers are valid for 1 month from the date that the voucher code is issued.

e) The Reward Terms of Use

i. Qualifying Customers will receive an SMS with a unique code

ii. Visit any of the participating retailers listed above within 1 month of receiving the SMS and make a purchase. The voucher may be used instore or online at the selected partner.

iii. Should the value of the purchase be lower than the voucher amount, you will not receive any cash back for the portion not used. Vouchers are redeemable in store only

iv. Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash, are not transferable and are not refundable.

f)Dining voucher or the Dining Card:

i. Qualified Customers will receive an SMS with a unique voucher code.

ii. The voucher code needs to be presented at the dining partner to redeem the benefit.

iii. Applicable to sit in only.

iv. Vouchers excludes waitron tips and VAT.

v. Vouchers are redeemable via mobile app at the restaurants that support this functionality, such as Del Forno.

vi. Vouchers are valid for 1 month from the date that the voucher code is received.

g)Pamper voucher:

vii. Qualified Customers will receive an SMS with the unique voucher code.

viii. The reward is available at participating venues only.

ix. For a list of participating establishments please contact rewards on 031 880 1747.

x. Voucher is not transferable or refundable.

xi. Booking at the participating establishment is essential.

xii. Present your pamper code at the establishment upon arrival for you to redeem your discount.

h) Other Terms

i. The Promoters reserve the right to amend the Terms and Conditions at any time.

ii. The Promoters, their directors, members, partners, employees, agents, consultants, any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by them or any supplier of goods and services in connection with this Promotion and their spouses, life partners, parents, children, siblings, business partners or associates are not eligible to participate in or enter this Promotion.

iii.The organisers shall be entitled, in addition to any other rights which the organisers may have in terms of these rules, to immediately disqualify entrants from this promotion. By entering the promotion and/or accepting any prize, the entrants, users and/or winners hereby indemnify, release and hold harmless the promoters (including their subsidiaries, holding companies and affiliates), their directors, employees, agents, suppliers and contractors (the “organiser parties”)From and against any actions, claims and/or liability for injury, loss, damage, expense, claim or damages of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the promotion, and/or the use, acceptance or possession of a prize, and/or participation (or non-participation) in a prize-related activity.

iv. Entrants who, act unlawfully, fraudulently, in breach of these Terms and Conditions or otherwise dishonestly may, at the Promoters’ sole determination, be disqualified from participating in the Promotion and shall not be eligible to win any prize.

v. The Promoters reserve the right to terminate the Promotion at any time with immediate effect. if this is the case, the Promoters will provide a notice on the website and it shall be the responsibility of entrants to review such website in this respect. in such event, all entrants hereby waive any rights which they may have against any of the Promoters and acknowledge that they will have no recourse or claim of any nature against the Promoters.

vi. the Promoters are not liable for any technical failure that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted. any prize is accepted by a winner at his/her own risk and the Promoters are not liable, at any time, for any defect in the prize.

vii. The duration of this Promotion may also be extended or curtailed at the sole discretion of the Promoters.

viii. A copy of the Promotion rules is available at no cost and can be downloaded in printable form at www.gautrain.co.za

ix. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to, or must be understood to, unlawfully restrict, limit or avoid any rights or obligations, as the case may be, created for either the participant or the Promoters in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 ("CPA").

x. By entering the Promotion in accordance with its terms, participants acknowledge that the Promotion will be managed in accordance with the provisions of the CPA. Qualifying participants undertake to expeditiously do all things necessary to enable the Promoters to comply with their obligations under the CPA including, but not limited to providing such personal information as may be required in order to facilitate handing over the reward.

xi. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of South Africa.
